I am thrilled and honored to be the principal at Lake Ridge Elementary School. Kids are my passion. They give me fuel, energize me, inspire me, and propel me to be my best every day. I believe that every child deserves a champion. I am 100 percent committed to being a champion for kids every day and making each decision about what is best for them.

I have taught all elementary grades as a classroom and ESOL teacher. Noticing that some of the students in my class struggled with reading, I sought to learn more about literacy to help each child. This is why I became certified as a K-12 reading/language arts specialist with a master’s degree in education. I also have a master’s degree in educational leadership. I have served as an English learner program specialist, providing professional development and guidance to K-12 educators and administrators.
Most recently I proudly served as the assistant principal at Belmont Elementary School and Kilby Elementary School.

I am also a mother and wife to my incredible family. Simeon, my son, is 16 years old. He is beginning his junior year, is amazing at solving the Rubik’s cube, and has outstanding soccer skills. Ana, my daughter, is 12 years old, and is attending Benton Middle School. She loves animals and enjoys helping others. My husband, Doug, is a brilliant, retired Marine and Navy Officer, a kind, loving father, and a supportive spouse.

I want to extend a warm welcome to each family. I am excited to partner with you to foster the learning and development of your child. I look forward to taking advantage of opportunities to get to know you and your child. You can follow me on Twitter to see tweets about our amazing school and my thoughts on education.
