"Bienvenue" to my page.
Je m'appelle (my name is) Madame Wilson-Bahun, I am the French teacher for the first and second graders. Originally from Togo, a French speaking country in West Africa, I went to school in France and attended Universite Lumiere Lyon 2 where I received my master's degree. I live with my husband and my two children who were both Lake Ridge Lions. Both my husband and I are French teachers. I am very excited to teach your child this year, and I am hoping to instill in your child the love and knowledge of the French language and culture.
Students have been doing a fabulous job presenting themselves to peers, telling how old they are and counting 1-39 (for 1st grade) and 1-69 (for 2nd grade).
C'était délicieux! (It was delicious!).
We enjoyed eating the crêpes last Thursday and Friday. A big thank you to all LRES parents who contributed supplies to this event and those who gave their time to come help serve the crêpes. We couldn't have done it without you. We really appreciate it.
LRES is Multicultural!
We will celebrate our Multicultural Day on December 16 during the school time. Students are encouraged to wear clothing from different cultures. Students will be singing in different languages.
Another French food tasting is coming soon!
Our next eating event will be January 5-6.
We will celebrate one of the French's traditions "La Fête des Rois" (Kings' Day), when we will taste "La Galette des Rois" (Kings' Cake).
Please watch out for flyers coming home in December.
