Miss Milom

Jessie Milom

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ms. Milom. I was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia and studied Early and Elementary Education at Virginia Commonwealth University. This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at LRES and I have loved every minute. I am so happy to have the privilege of working with such  a supportive and passionate staff, and in this  amazing school community!

In our classroom, you will find engaging, hands-on learning and children who respect and support each other.  It's through kindness and teamwork that we have created a positive, loving classroom family.  We want everyone in our classroom to "grow their brains" as much as possible and take pride in having fun while doing so. Ask your child about some of the fun learning activities they've done recently!

Thank you so much for your continued support and patience during this time. As we settle into this social distancing and  possibly learning from home if your schedule allows, I want to let you know that I am here if you need any guidance or support at all!  Please see the pacing guides in the Instructional Calendars folder. This will show you the planned topics of focus in each content area, broken down by unit If we were in school March 23-March 27, we would be continuing our unit on number sense.  In Social Studies, we would have been continuing to learn about geography with a focus on maps and globes. In language arts,  the class would have been working on our poetry unit and the writing process.

I miss my class very much and cannot wait until I get to see them in the classroom again. Give them lots of hugs from me!
