Welcome back to 2016-2017 school year!! I am so excited to see familiar faces along with some new students. This year I will be working with student's from kindergarten all the way through fifth grade who have IEP's (individual education plans). I have communicated with all the teachers who have your child and explained the accommodations and went over each IEP carefully.
As the beginning of the year is unfolding I am working with your child individually to help them make a reading, fluency, and math goal. What does this mean? As I complete my baseline assessments to see how much they retained over the summer, they will work with me to see where they want to be every nine weeks. This is something new that I am starting this year and I am very excited to see how your child will progress. They will start with a graph and color it in every nine weeks. We will conference over the goals and see if they have reached it. At times, they may have set a goal that is too high. In this case, together, your child and I will come up with a new goal.
If you have any questions regarding your child's IEP, please don't hesitate to call or email me. I look forward to working with your child and thrilled to see how they grow as a student and an individual.
I look forward to meeting all my students on Back to School Night in September 2016!
I will be in my classroom which is room #303. Please come by and see some of the great work they are already doing!
If possible, I would love to have some supplies to help this school year. They are as follows:

Thank you for your support in your child’s learning!
