Message from our new principal:

Dear Lake Ridge Elementary School Families,

It is my honor to introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Lake Ridge Elementary School. I am excited and humbled to serve as your principal. I look forward to getting to know each of you and learn more about our school.

I have 13 years of experience in education. I spent the last four years serving as the Bennett Elementary School assistant principal. Before becoming an assistant principal, I served twice as summer school principal and was a third grade teacher for nine years in Stafford County. Before starting my career in education, I served as an Army officer for six years and in the Army Reserve for two years.

My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the US Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver, and an endorsement in School Administration and Supervision from the University of Mary Washington.

I grew up in a bilingual home with a German mom and an American dad who was career Army. I have three grown children: a daughter and twin sons. I'm a twin too! I love the outdoors and have always done sports including four Ironman triathlons. My favorite activities now are hiking, camping, and traveling.

I look forward to serving as your principal and working collaboratively with you to build upon the excellence that has already been established at Lake Ridge. My goal is for each student to be inspired and empowered with the skills, knowledge, and habits of mind to achieve a thriving future for themselves and their communities.
