A message from the Principal

Dear LRES Families, 

We had an exciting week last week with school assemblies for KG-2nd and 3rd-5th grades to meet author Laura Murray. She was very engaging and students enjoyed her presentation! Last Friday our 1st graders went to see a performance of The Polar Express at Forest Park High School and 4th graders went to Mt. Vernon. Thank you to all the parent chaperones and to our teachers for planning these special events for students. We are very excited for our book fair which starts Friday. The weather is getting colder! Please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for the weather so they can continue to enjoy outdoor recess (weather permitting). 

Picture Retakes

Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday, December 6th. Reminders were sent home on Friday with instructions to order retakes. If you would like your child to have their picture retaken, please let their teacher know.   

Extended Absences

If your student will be absent for 5 or more days, please fill out the Extended Absence form.  You can send the form to the school with your student or email it to Tammy Harris,  [email protected]  or Kelly McLean, [email protected]. Donations Needed

The clinic lender closet needs gently used, gender neutral (black, grey, blue, tan), sweatpants sizes 4T – 8 youth. We also would greatly appreciate any newly purchased underwear donations in both boy and girl sizes 4T- youth.  

We are also looking for tricycles (various sizes), scooters, wagons and various kinds of balls for our courtyard. If you have any of these items to donate, please drop them off at the main office. Your donations will be greatly appreciated!
