Stay Connected with SchoolStatus

SchoolStatus is used by PWCS and our school to send important updates, including school news, emergency notifications, and inclement weather announcements. Please do not unsubscribe from SchoolStatus messages, as you may miss important communications from the school division. If you unsubscribe by mistake, follow the steps below to resubscribe. School staff cannot resubscribe you on your behalf.

Do I Need the SchoolStatus App?

No. Parents do not need to download the SchoolStatus app. The app is primarily used by school staff to send messages and emails. Parents will receive SchoolStatus communications as regular text messages and emails using the contact information listed in ParentVUE.

Text Message Notifications or Check Your Subscription Status

  • Text STATUS to 939393
  • You will receive a reply letting you know whether you are currently subscribed to receive SchoolStatus messages.

Subscribe to School Messages

  • Text START to 939393
  • You will receive a confirmation message that you have been subscribed to receive school messages.

Email Notifications

If you are not receiving SchoolStatus emails, try these troubleshooting steps:
  •  Check your Spam/Junk folder.
  •  Log in to ParentVUE and verify that your email address is correct.
  •  If you may have accidentally unsubscribed, send an email to: [email protected] to resubscribe.
  •  Check your email settings and make sure the following are allowed (whitelisted):
  • @channel.email
  • convo* (sender addresses)

If you continue to have trouble receiving messages after trying these steps, please contact the school for assistance.
